Wedding Chat Time! As you’re all aware, Gareth and I are getting married in just under 3 months time. Wow! Time is flying. We decided to get married in Greece, as Gareth is from South Africa and I grew up in the Canaries we thought it would be nice to choose a different country all together. Recently, I have been thinking about wedding venues in the UK and what they have to offer.
The UK itself is stunning, from city life to country living, there is literally something for everyone. You can’t really go wrong. I went on the hunt to find the best UK wedding venues for the recently engaged and whether you’re after a classy/chic wedding or a boho/hippie vibe, I’m confident you will find your potential wedding venue within this post.
I’ve always been a fan of the South of England and feel it has so much more to offer than just London alone. So, I chose three different places that came up on my radar for you to check out.
Hampshire will always have a piece of my heart. I met Gareth working on board the Royal Caribbean cruise liner and our home port in the UK was Southampton. We both spent a lot of time in Southampton and we fell in love with this beautiful place instantly. My favourite venue in Hampshire is definitely Somerley Estate, which is a privately owned estate. It’s not normally my style, as I love the bohemian vibe but this a beautiful venue and got my attention straight away. I also love the idea of the Blacknest Golf & Country Club, with beautiful lakes and wildlife, it looks like the dream wedding venue.
Wedding venues in Berkshire will leave you with butterflies in your stomach. If you’re looking for the perfect barn wedding then Wasing Park might just be up your alley, along with Combe Manor Barn and De Vere Wokefield Park. Berkshire is one place that I have always wanted to visit and explore. All you have to do is Google and click on images to see what I’m talking about. It took my breath away and I think Gareth and I need to book a trip their ASAP. Make sure you check out the wedding venues here if you’re looking for something in Berkshire. I wouldn’t be surprised if you choose to visit them all during your venue search, I know I would.
What can I say? Have you ever thought of getting married in Surrey? My family recently visited Denbies Wine Estate and it looked out of this world, I always said that it would be amazing to get married there. All in all, Surrey has so much to offer for wedding venues that you won’t be dissapointed. Quick tip, check out Wotton House – wow!
I’m so happy with the venue that we have chosen but if we had decided to get married in the UK, let’s just say we would be spoiled for choice. A few months back, I honestly wouldn’t know where to begin, so I hope this post helps narrow things down a bit for you.
Are you getting married soon? Have you thought of any of the venues above? Comment down below, as I would love to know.
