Autumn is finally here and there’s nothing I love more than a pair of black ankle boots. If you follow me over on Instagram, you will be aware of just how much I love a pair of ankle boots, I mean they are the easiest style of shoes to dress up or down. On my way to the Ice Lolly event in Manchester a few months back now, I snapped a pair of my favourite Ipanema sandals, to be fair I had them for a few years already and literally wore them out so I’m not surprised. The only issue? I didn’t have anything else with me and we were already halfway to the train station. Gareth came to the rescue with his very cool surfer style flip-flops, I mean amazing if I were off to the beach but I was off to an event and didn’t feel they were appropriate, even if it was an Ice Lolly event.

Luckily, the event was held in the city centre, so off I went to hunt down some new shoes for the event. I was wearing a black oversized dress from Monki with my classic Levis Hat so I thought a pair of ankle boots would be the perfect fit. I didn’t have much time so I quickly stumbled into New Look – I couldn’t find the exact pair that I bought but these boots are very similar.

I will be pairing my ankle boots this autumn with dresses, jeans, leggings etc. (basically everything!) I don’t think anyone can have too many boots in their wardrobe, don’t you agree? The best thing with ankle boots, especially in the colour black, is you will be able to wear them all year round, so you really do get your money’s worth.

I’m all for buying products that I can wear all year around as that way it’s just more sustainable.
