Ad – This post contains a paid for advertorial in collaboration with Bookatable. It’s that time of year where we overindulge and go on the hunt for really good food for the festive season. I believe that this month is not only a time to treat our loved ones but to also treat ourselves and for me that is with food. If you haven’t guessed that already hehe! If you’re like me and you enjoy a little luxury from time to time, then I think you’re going to love my 2 options in Leeds for the perfect Christmas lunch or dinner this year.

I feel that there are many luxury restaurants around the world but that doesn’t automatically mean that they are going to be the best. Let’s face it, if you’re spending quite a bit of money on your food, it better be delicious. This city really has so much variety and if you would like to find out more on the selection of Leeds restaurants that we have on offer, then head on over to Book a Table to have a browse.

The Ivy Leeds

When The Ivy first opened, my work and I headed straight down to try their breakfast one morning and we really enjoyed the whole experience, especially the decor. I mean I don’t know how you wouldn’t like the interiors in there.  Gareth and I were fortunate to be invited down to the Ivy last month to celebrate Light Night Leeds and it was one of the most beautiful experiences ever. The food and the drink was just out of this world, as I’ve mentioned before.

This festive season, Gareth and I got invited down again to try out their festive cocktail menu and canapes. The cocktails were amazing and my favourite was the ‘Pomme D’Hiver’, which is their own personal take on a mulled cider and definitely warmed me up whilst we were sat on the winter terrace. Here is a little rundown of the festive cocktails that we enjoyed at The Ivy.

The Ivy

East 59th

East 59th is a New York style restaurant/bar with a beautiful rooftop terrace located in the Victoria Gate. We were invited down a few weeks ago to celebrate the new design of the festive terrace and it sure didn’t disappoint. I’ve eaten at East 59 before, the food is great and it really has such a beautiful setting. We were there to celebrate the New York-Shire event where we got to sample some Wintery cocktails along with festive canapes whilst we sat in one of the most Christmasy Terraces ever. If I wasn’t feeling festive before, then I sure am now.

Inside, the restaurant’s decor is just stunning with first class service and they even had a DJ playing whilst you were eating. I can’t wait to head back to East 59th to experience this again.

I absolutely love this post! I live in Manchester and visit Leeds regularly but I’ve never visited the Ivy Leeds although I’ve heard lots about it! Thank you for the cocktail recipes – these will come in handy over Christmas! xxx

You should definitely visit The Ivy when you’re next in Leeds, you won’t be disappointed. I’m sure they also have an Ivy in Manchester. I’m coming to Manchester at the end of Jan, if you have any tips for me❤️

I’m gutted as I was in Leeds couple of years ago and didn’t even realise they had an Ivy. We ate somewhere really boring. Will remember for next time, one of my favourite places in London usually.

Thanks for reading Kelly. To be fair, I think the Ivy only opened either at the beginning of the year or last year. Definitely visit when you come back on your next trip. I’ve never been to the one in London so thanks for the tip xxx
