24 Hours in Manchester With easyHotel

When easyHotel got in touch to see if I would like to stay at one of their hotels, I jumped at the chance. They are based in many of the major cities in the UK, so we had a lot to choose from. I’ve heard of the brand before but I have never stayed at one of their hotels so I was very excited and intrigued to try it out. One thing that I wasn’t aware of, is that the easyHotel chain are also based within Europe and Dubai which is great to know, as Gareth and I are always on the hunt for bargain city breaks.

We took a look at the locations within the UK and we decided to choose Manchester as we were already going there for an event, it just made perfect sense plus I’ve never really explored the city properly. The easyHotel is based within the trendy Northern Quarter in the historic Flatiron building and is less than a 5 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station and the Manchester coach station.

Check in time was at 3pm which was perfect for us as we were at an event from 2pm. If this time is a little late for you, there is an option to check in earlier for a small charge.

Takk Manchster

We arrived by coach and headed for a coffee at Takk within the Northern Quarter and I really was feeling the hipster vibes. It’s such a cute place and I really love that side of Manchester. After coffee, we headed to our event and then we went to check in at 5pm. With easyHotel being a budget hotel, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As soon as we saw the historic building, I knew that I was going to be impressed. One thing for me that I always judge any place on is the customer service. As soon as we walked in, the gentleman at reception took his time to ask us how our day was and what our plans were for the rest of the evening. He really got our stay off to a good start.

We received our keys and off we went to find our room. When we came out of the lift, all the doors were in the signature orange colour which as we all know is a major part of their brand. We opened the door to the room and my first impression was that it was super cute. The room was small but cosy and the interiors were just on point – as soon as I saw the exposed brick I was sold.

We left our belongings in the room and headed out to the Northern Quarter for something to eat and we stumbled across Yard & Coop, top tip – share a burger and fries as the portions are massive. We then went for a few drinks afterwards around the Northern Quarter before heading back to the hotel.

There’s something about staying in a hotel that I just love, I honestly think I could live in a hotel haha! Is that weird? The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was basic but had everything we needed. With rooms from £19.99 (39.99 in Old St. London), they are really hard to beat on price and value for money.

If you’re on the lookout for a budget hotel then look no further as easyHotel could be for you. I would definitely stay at another easyHotel, as we really did enjoy our stay. If you’re heading to Manchester, then staying in the Northern Quarter is the perfect area as there’s so much to do there.

The next day, check out was at 10am and we headed straight for breakfast at the Alabamas Manchester brunch cafe where we both had pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and blueberries – yummy!

All in all our stay in Manchester was amazing and I honestly couldn’t fault it in anyway.

The stay at easyHotel was part of a gifted collaboration in return for an honest blog review.
