I’m back baby! 🙂 Wow, it’s been such a long time since I wrote my last blog post and I’m so sorry that I have been a little off the grid lately but I’m back and ready to mingle with you lovely lot. I thought I would start with a little life update to fill you in with what’s been happening in the grand old year of 2020!
I remember the 1st January 2020 hit and I had a feeling this was going to be one of the best years yet. My blog was really taking off, I had a family trip coming up and I had won 2 press trips to a couple of very dreamy locations. Here I was planning my summer wardrobe and getting so excited that I was heading back to the Canaries and then boom – Lockdown! I think it’s safe to say that I was super shocked, in my lifetime I have never experienced anything like this before. Although I was really sad that I couldn’t head off to the island, I respected the rules and I knew that this needed to happen to save lives.
What followed was the cancellation of 2 more trips which were PR but again, I was happy to stay home until it was safe to travel. The most heart breaking thing to come out of lockdown for me however, was being made redundant from my job. I worked in marketing & social media and not only did I love my job but I really enjoyed working with my colleagues and my boss – we were like a little family. As sad as it was, I am now feeling super positive and believe everything happens for a reason. I’m just so grateful that my family and friends have all stayed safe and healthy, as I know many have lost their lives.
What I have learned the most during these times, is how much I love working from home and to stop worrying about every little thing, as some things are just out of our control. I have loved the no bra life, being able to focus on where I want to take my content creation, thinking more outside the box and most importantly, spending so much time with my husband (cheese alert).
The thing I haven’t loved is definitely the lockdown diet. What started off as working out each day and eating super healthy, soon changed to making pizza and having prosecco evenings. It’s been a rollercoaster ride and my waistline has definitely been on a journey haha!
Who knows what is going to happen with the rest of the year but I’m hopeful it’s going to get better for everyone. I took some time off social media to really evaluate where I wanted to take everything. I absolutely love my blog and creating content and I promise that I will be delving into the world of YouTube very soon. I am very excited for the next few months and what they will bring.
I hope you’re all doing well and keeping safe during these times.

So glad you’re back writing posts! 2020 sounded like it was THE year. I felt the same in January, but I’m enjoying the slower lifestyle too. Roll on the next few months and let’s see what they bring! X
