It’s time for an adventure! This time, we headed to East Yorkshire for a glamping stay. My friend Violet kindly asked me to join her on her PR Stay at the Starlight Hideaway in Skeffling village. We spent two nights there and it was truly the ideal girls’ escape.
Starlight Hideaway offers a luxurious rustic retreat with a single shepherd hut, ensuring ultimate privacy and tranquillity. Constructed from top-notch English oak, the Hideaway seamlessly blends in with the lush greenery surrounding it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by three goats, including Vincent Van Gogh, which instantly captured our hearts. The hot tub was already being heated for us, thanks to the goats’ help!
We were pleasantly surprised to find a breakfast hamper waiting which we had the next day, and I couldn’t have been happier about it. The attention to detail was second to none, and I could easily replicate the hut’s decoration in my own home. After capturing a few photos, it was time to relax in the hot tub. After a few vodka and diet coke’s, it was time to call it a night.
We woke up by the delightful chirping of birds in the morning, making it feel like paradise. We decided to go on a 2.5-hour walk to Spur Point, Yorkshire’s version of Lands End, it even had a lighthouse. Following our walk, we were recommended to try Cakey Bakey Yum Yum for a tasty meal, conveniently located right near our shepherd’s hut. I opted for the mozzarella and pesto panini, and we also shared a brownie after – you have to have dessert right? Later, we stopped by the local shop to grab marshmallows, chocolate, and biscuits for our DIY s’mores by the fire pit that night.
If you’re in the mood for a girls’ getaway, a romantic trip with your partner, or even a solo adventure, I can’t stress enough how amazing the Starlight Hideaway is. You can either cook your own meals or choose from a variety of recommended takeout options. After that, you can relax in the hot tub and then cosy up by the fire pit. Trust me, it’s an experience you won’t regret. I have a section on UK Trips including glamping trips right here if you did want to check it out.
It looks like you had the most amazing time! The Starlight Hideaway looks super cute and I’d love to stay there for a mini break! x
