My enthusiasm for the gym has been up and down this year (mostly down haha) but I’m proud to say that I’m back in there. I have been finding it super hard as of late but I have my own goals that I need to hit and it’ll all be worth it in the end. It’s no secret that I have suffered with weight issues since the age of 15 but now it’s time to head back to my favourite gym in Leeds. I attend Pure Gym just near the Corn Exchange, (pretty much where everyone goes) and I am loving it so far. I wanted to share with you my personal top 10 tips on how to get yourself into the gym spirit.
Set realistic goals
Get a gym buddy
Track your progress
Join a gym you like
If you hate the gym, take fitness classes instead
Reward yourself
Take pictures before and after so you can track your progress
Mix up your routine to keep yourself entertained
Have workout and diet plans
If you’re struggling, talk to someone
I wish I could work out in the morning but I never have time before work so I tend to hit the gym after work these days. It’s so depressing right now as it’s already dark outside by late afternoon but you just need to push yourself and keep thinking about your fitness goals and how great you’ll feel when you reach them! I would love to find out what your top tips are that keep you motivated and how you’re getting on with them. By the way thank you to everyone for all your support on my recent Instagram fitness posts. Your comments and messages really made my day and I love the amount of online support I have gained. I will definitely keep you up to date on my fitness journey and I’m not going to say that it’ll be smooth sailing, but nothing worth having ever comes easy.
These are such helpful tips, fortunately I’m a gym freak so I’m pretty motivated but this would deffo help someone looking into get fit and joining a gym!
