It’s Friday night and I’m off to the Ivy to celebrate Light Night Leeds but tomorrow I’m having a well deserved chilled one at home with my husband (still not used to calling him that haha!) I thought I would put together a list of things that I love to do to really relax and have the ultimate cosy night in at home.
As soon as I get home, it’s literally hair up, sweats on and bra off! However, before all that can begin, I do love to run a hot bath, enjoy a glass of wine and listen to a podcast – although this is a rarity, it’s something I really love to do. I have recently been trying out Poa Poa which is a vegan and all natural brand and I’m really loving it so far. Thanks to Poa Poa for kindly sending a selection of their new items over to me. The smell is so divine and leaves my skin super smooth. I have a full skincare routine category if you did want to find out more.
Bath time complete and it’s time to hit the sofa with another glass of wine and time to place a takeaway order. I always get overexcited when placing a good takeaway order, something which Gareth says scares him – the fact that I get so excited over food. I mean I have a dance and everything haha!
Takeaway arrives and it’s time to watch a series. We’re currently watching Walking Dead, I know I know! We’re a little late to the game but you know what, I actually prefer it. I love when a series has been out for ages because it means we can binge-watch. Although too much although Walking Dead gives me nightmares. So then I have to watch something light-hearted before I go to bed.
I have this very bad habit of continuously checking my phone and going on social media whilst watching TV. Being a blogger is literally a 24/7 job and I feel I have to be on social media near enough all the time. Lately, I have been leaving my phone in the room, so I don’t have any distractions and I can really relax. I’m sure that we are all guilty of this and this is something that I really needed to change as I didn’t want to ruin my cosy night in.
My other night-in essentials are definitely chocolate, popcorn, a face-mask and a movie. I’m starting to put together a scary movie top 5 essentials for this Halloween. Keep your eyes posted for this. What would be your tips for a cosy night in?
