The end of April and the start of May really did bring us those showers and it looks like it will continue this week. I don’t know about you, but I am really not a fan of the rain, however, that doesn’t mean we can’t still entertain ourselves at home. I thought I would share with you a few activities that I like to do when the weather isn’t the best. The term April Showers bring May Flowers basically means that April is a traditionally rainy month which gives way to May, when flowers will bloom because of the water provided to them in April. Makes sense hey…
Going on daily walks
Over the past few weeks, no matter what the weather, I make sure to head out with the hubby for our daily walks. With us both working from home, it’s so important to move our bodies and take in the fresh air (and wow it’s been super fresh lately). We never leave home without our trusted waterproof jackets from Tog24 and let me tell you, they are totally waterproof as we put them to the test before we went out on our walks, which you will see in the below picture. What I love about the jackets, is that they come with a little pack away bag which is perfect for travelling or just putting in your handbag in case the weather changes. Watching movies
Gareth and I love a good movie and there’s nothing better than cosying up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and the duvet. Recent movies that are currently a must-see are Run, Come as you are and I can only imagine. In terms of series, I have recently started watching Below Deck again and the Blacklist is also worth a watch.
Cooking
I would like to say that I do the cooking in our household but it’s mostly Gareth that cooks whilst I watch with a large glass of vino. I do keep him company though haha! We love our date nights at home, lighting the candles, making a nice dinner and having quality time together. Who says that you always need a restaurant or a bar to have a good time.
Selfcare
Selfcare is super important and there’s nothing I love more than a bubble bath, facemask and a glass of wine. When the weather isn’t the warmest, this is probably one of my favourite things to do. I then get wrapped up warm in my oodie and settle down for the evening.
