My Current Morning Skincare Routine

It’s been a while since I shared any skincare routines on the blog so I thought it was about a time that I bring it back and I hope you love it. If you didn’t know already, I love skincare and I always find it therapeutic when I do my morning skincare routine. I thought I would share with you my current favourite products that I am using every morning and how they have benefited my skin recently.

Step 1 – Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

I’ve recently started using the Special Cleansing Gel from Dermalogica again after finishing the Riversol Hydrating Cream Cleanser. Both are firm favourites of mine. I start every morning with a cleanse before moving onto the second phase of my routine.

Step 2 – PIXI Glow Tonic

I used to hear many people rave about the PIXI Glow Tonic and I can honestly see why. It helps exfoliate and brighten the skin. It can also be used on any skin type. After cleansing, I apply a small amount of the glow tonic using a reusable cotton pad.

Step 3 – The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

This is my second bottle of using the hyaluronic acid by The Ordinary brand and I don’t think I could live without this product. It really helps with hydration which is something my skin craves each day.

Step 4 – Riversol Anti – Aging Reparative Serum

After I let the hyaluronic acid soak in my skin, I apply the Riversol serum. This is a new serum that I am trying out and so far so good. This product can also be used on different skin types. Once I have applied the serum, I use a Gua Sha from Dermalogica which is a technique designed to relieve tension in the muscles of the face. I hear that it can also minimize fine lines and wrinkles and boosts skin’s elasticity to look firmer. Major plus for me!

Step 5 – Dermalogica Neck Fit Contour Serum

As we age, we tend to focus on our face and forget about the neck area. This firming serum is a skincare workout for your neck. You literally turn the applicator ON, tilt the chin and roll the applicator over the entire neck, from the décolleté to the jawline. You then turn the applicator OFF and continue to roll it in an upward motion over the skin to massage in the serum. Like many of these products, you can also use it within your night time skincare routine.

Step 6 – L’Oreal Paris RevitaLift Day Cream

This super affordable product from L’Oreal is a real game changer. I have been using this day cream for the past week and already I can see a huge difference. My skin is really loving this product and it contains Retinol which can help with fine lines and helps your skin achieve that healthy glow.

Step 7 – Riversol Eye Repair Treatment & Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel

I have started to switch between both these products and they are equally amazing in their own right. The Riversol eye repair treatment is so smooth on the skin and really hydrates under the eyes, whilst the Good Molecules eye gel really helps to revitalize and energize the eye area. As soon as I apply this product, my eyes instantly look more awake.

Step 8 – Soltan Suncare Lotion 30 SPF

I can’t stress enough that using SPF is definitely a must for your skin, no matter how old you are or where you live. If it’s raining, sunny, overcast, snowing, apply your SPF! Trust me when I say, you will thank me in the long run. This one is Boots own range and I have been using this on and off for a number of years. It smells just like holidays, is non greasy and water resistant. I apply this before makeup and it works perfectly fine for me.
