Building A Skincare Routine For Dehydrated Skin

I became a Skin Influencer for Dermalogica last year and trust me when I say, that it really was a pinch-me moment. Dermalogica gets it right every time and I was solely using their products during the build up to my wedding back in June last year (so sad that I can’t re-live this moment haha). My skin had never looked so good and I got so many compliments on it. I even took my Antioxidant Hydramist spray with me and used it as a refresher throughout the day. I have always suffered with dehydrated skin and when Winter hits, it’s just a nightmare. Dermalogica sent over their Winter package and I was so excited – dehydrated skin, I’m coming for you!

I recently posted on my Instagram to see if you would be interested in finding out more information on the products that were sent over and as I received a positive response, I thought why not write a blog post on some of my favourites.

Dermalogica

Conditioning Body Wash

This was my first experience with the Dermalogica body wash products, but definitely not the last. The only issue I have is that I need to hide it from the Mr, as he is also loving this product hehe! To be honest, I am not that fussy when it comes to a body wash, however you can really tell that this is a luxury product and if you suffer with dehydrated skin like myself, this really will be a lifesaver. This cleansing formula features aromatic oils of French Rosemary and Chinese Eucalyptus along with fresh Tea Tree and Lemon Oils, which really comes out in the scent.

Dermalogica always gets the packaging spot on and I am a sucker for a bottle with a pump. Anyone else? I can highly recommend this soap-free gel as it really will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Body Hydrating Cream

If you want to keep your skin hydrated and smooth during this cold season, then you need to moisturise. I have moisturised after a bath or shower for years and I feel this really shows in my skin. Although the Body Hydrating Cream helps with dehydrated skin, it does contain a collection of oils which will benefit all skin types. Dermalogica states that the ‘French Lavender and Indonesian Pachouli Oils calm the senses while naturally-dervied Lactic Acid and Hydroxy Acid Extracts from Cane Sugar and Apple smooth skin and relieve dryness’. This body hydrating cream will leave you with such soft and glowing skin.

Redness Relief Essence

I actually thought I was going to gift this item away, as I don’t suffer with any redness but when I read that it was lightweight like a toner but concentrated like a serum, I was like HOLD on there one minute! I definitely spoke too soon as once I read all the instructions and the benefits of this little beauty, I knew that in actual fact it was perfect for my skin. This product boosts hydration and helps strengthen the skin’s moisture. You are meant to use this product twice a day but I have only been using it once every other day and I have seen the benefits already. One thing that I will say about Dermalogica products, is that the scents are always out of this world!

Dermalogica Redness Relief

Antioxidant Hydramist

I have talked about this product so much in past blog posts so I’m sure you’re all aware of how much I love it. It’s such a refreshing toner and really does hydrate and firm the skin. I tend to apply this product after my whole skincare routine as well as using it as a refreshing spray over my make-up thorough out the day. Definitely one of my favourites.

Dermalogica

Rapid Reveal Peel

Never in my life have I used a rapid reveal peel! It’s the truth, I haven’t. I know many people that go have a professional peel in beauty salons but if I’m being truly honest, I never really knew what it was. This product will bring you healthier, brighter skin in just minutes a week. I have only tried one of these products but I must say that I am sold. They are a little expensive but totally worth it. As I said, I’m getting older and looking after my skin and keeping those fine lines at bay are a current priority for me.

Dermalogica Rapid Reveal

Nightly Lip Treatment

I had never heard of a nightly lip treatment before but to be fair it’s not something that I have been on the lookout for. I am so happy that Dermalogica sent this product over for me to try. This is another hydrating product and really restores skin on and around the lips. I would recommend this product for massaging and smoothing the appearance of fine lines, but if you’re looking for something to hydrate the area on top of the lip area, I personally would use a lip balm.

Dermalogica

And that’s it, Bob’s your uncle! Hope you enjoyed my blog post on my favourite Winter skincare products from Dermalogica. Have you tried the brand before? If so, which is your favourite product?

Honestly, I couldn’t recommend them enough. If I could recommend you one amazing product, it would be the Antioxidant Hydramist. It firms and hydrates throughout the day and you can wear it over makeup. I used it on my wedding day and I was obsessed, perfect for that destination wedding πŸ™‚ xxx

Also, forgot to mention that the lip treatment is amazing but it doesn’t really work that well on my lips as I really suffer with dry lips. I tend to just use a lip balm xxx

Thanks so much for reading. Yes, I suffer with my skin when I fly so I can’t imagine what your skin must be going through everyday. I can definitely recommend all the above but by far my favourite is the Antioxidant Hydramist as you can just give a quick spray when you feel your skin is really dehydrated. They also have a beautiful moisturiser range as well πŸ™‚
