It’s Mother’s Day on the 31st of March and I realised that I have never written a Mother’s Day blog post before. By the way I must start by saying thank you to the lovely team at Vela flowers for gifting me these beautiful flowers, which retail at £30.00. If you don’t live near your loved ones and you want to send some flowers home, this is the perfect way to do it. I always worry that my flowers won’t get there due to the fact that my Mum won’t be in, which always leaves you wondering, “where will the postman leave them?” or “will someone steal them if they are just left outside?” I can happily say that the days of these panicked thoughts are over….welcome to Vela Flowers – fresh, seasonal flowers that are delivered threw your letterbox.
After a weekend away, I returned home to these beautiful Vela flowers and I must admit that I was slightly worried that they might not have survived their overnight stay in the box. I think I should just point out that I did panic-email the lovely Lily at Vela Flowers and I asked her a zillion questions and she was super helpful and and gave me some great advice. The flowers perked up after a few days and they are still placed on my kitchen table over a week later, looking amazing.
My Mum is literally the best Mum in the world and I know I’m being biased as everyone thinks of their mum, but she really is. She’s the strongest, kindest, most beautiful woman around and I’m super proud to call her my Mum. Super cheesy I know but she is like my best friend and Mum & Dad all in one. I always get such satisfaction out of treating my loved ones and as you all know, I’m getting married this year so my Mum said not to buy her anything for Mother’s Day. How can I not purchase a little something for the woman who raised me into the person that I am today! My Mum loves plants and flowers and I really think she would appreciate a bunch of Vela flowers.

This is a very cute idea, flowers are always a lovely gift to send, I think I might do that this Mother’s Day as it’s the first one I’m not living at home with the family! These flowers look so pretty ♥️
