Leeds has one of the best coffee scenes in the UK, and if you’re a coffee lover, you’re spoilt for choice. From perfectly poured flat whites to freshly baked pastries, there are endless independent cafés to explore. Whether you’re working remotely, catching up with friends, or just want a takeaway latte on the go, here are the best coffee shops in Leeds you absolutely need to try.

92 Degrees
92 Degrees is a true Leeds favourite, and with multiple locations across the city, it’s perfect for when you need a consistent caffeine hit. Their ethically sourced coffee is smooth, rich, and always served with a smile. Bonus points for their cosy interiors and great plant-based milk options – their pastries are delish too.
Raw Coffee
Raw Coffee has quickly become a go-to for coffee lovers who care about sustainability and great flavours. Their pastries are amazing (seriously, don’t skip them) and they’re known for offering quirky drink options like a blueberry matcha.
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, there’s also the cutest little French bulldog who sometimes makes an appearance — making your coffee stop even more wholesome.

La Bottega Milanese
I’m absolutely obsessed with La Bottega Milanese. This Italian-style coffee bar is the real deal, serving strong, perfectly brewed coffee and fresh pastries that will transport you straight to Milan.
Be warned though — you need to be quick! This place is always super busy, and for good reason. The atmosphere is lively, the service is fast, and it’s one of the best spots in Leeds for a proper coffee fix.
Sonder Coffee Leeds
The most aesthetic place in Leeds has to be Sonder Coffee. Everything about it is Instagrammable — from the beautifully designed interiors to the picture-perfect lattes.
It’s incredibly popular, so you’ll either need to book ahead or arrive early to grab a table. Whether you’re catching up with friends or snapping content for your feed, Sonder is a must-visit.

Laynes Coffee
This is actually one I haven’t been to yet, but it’s high on my list because it looks super cute! Everyone raves about their perfectly brewed coffee and the cosy, friendly vibe. From what I’ve heard, it’s the kind of place you can settle into for a while, whether you’re brunching or catching up on some work.
Miles & Co Coffee
Miles & Co Coffee is a little hidden gem in Leeds and a must-visit for true coffee lovers. They serve up expertly brewed coffee using top-quality beans, and the vibe is super relaxed — perfect for a quiet catch-up or a solo coffee break.

Leeds is packed with incredible independent coffee shops, each with its own unique vibe. Whether you want the consistent quality of 92 Degrees, the aesthetic interiors at Sonder Coffee, the authentic Italian buzz of La Bottega Milanese, or the quirky offerings at Raw Coffee, you’ll never run out of options.
