Blogtober has arrived!

Here it is, my first ever Blogtober! I wanted to attempt this last year however, with working full time & planning the wedding, time wasn’t really on my side. If you’re unsure what Blogtober is, it’s essentially setting yourself a task of posting everyday throughout October. Now, a few people have said it needs to be focused on October/Autumn whilst others have said it can be around anything you like.

From me, you are going to see a mix as usual with lots of Autumnal content, life chat & advice, fashion tips and my latest skincare products that I’m obsessing over. I have already discussed this over on here and Instagram but I want to take Doorways & Dresses back to basics. Initially, I started this blog with the aim of focusing on Travel & Style and although I still blog around these areas, it seems to have turned into more of a Lifestyle blog. Don’t get me wrong, I love being invited to restaurants & events but I need to not forget why I started this blog in the first place. Don’t panic! If you love the food content, I will still be posting over on the gram but I do have some exciting news coming soon in regards to the foodie content. Keep your eyes peeled people!

Catch -Up Time!

I actually feel like it’s been so long that I haven’t checked in and let you all know what’s been going on, so I thought I would take this opportunity to fill you all in with what’s been happening over the last few months. Pull up a chair, grab a coffee or glass of wine (no judgement here) and let’s get cracking!

As you’re all aware, I got married at the end of June and if you didn’t know, then where have you been? Jokes. Make sure to check out all my wedding blogs to catch up. Since returning from our wedding, it’s been non-stop. I feel very fortunate that I have been invited to so many cool events and I have also had the amazing opportunity to work with some of my favourite brands.

I’m currently trying to plan for my honeymoon next month but it’s so hard when you have no idea where you’re going. That’s right! Gareth has booked our honeymoon and the only clue that I have is that it’s a cold destination. I’m so excited for a break away with my husband and I can’t wait to see where we’re going. In other news, it’s my Mum’s birthday in 4 days and I feel every year that I struggle more and more with what gift to buy for her. I have a few ideas but I feel this could be a great blog post, as surely I’m not the only one that finds it difficult to buy for others. My beautiful best friend Lisa who was also one of my bridesmaids has asked me to be Godmother to her beautiful daughter Mia and I literally feel so honoured. It’s the christening before we go away on honeymoon and every time I think about it, I get so emotional – it’s also more gift brainstorming haha!
