I can’t believe it’s that time of the year already! Gareth and I were kindly invited down to The Ivy in Leeds to celebrate Light Night with them and wow did we have an awesome time. I have had breakfast at The Ivy before but this would be Gareth’s first visit and it sure didn’t disappoint. I need to say a huge thank you to Kris who really looked after us all evening. From the limited-edition cocktails to the delicious chocolate bomb, it’s safe to say that Gareth and I had a great evening. They even had ballerinas perform whilst we were eating dinner – I mean wow!
Leaving The Ivy with full bellies and smiles all round, off we went to explore Light Night Leeds. The Light Night is one of the UK’s largest annual events and light festivals. It takes place every year over 2 nights in October, so unfortunately it was the last night when we attended but it’s something to definitely bear in mind for next year.
This year we celebrated “Mind, Body & Spirit”
First up, we headed up to the Millennium Square and the show really blew me away. To be honest, this is one of my favourite places to start with and it sure didn’t disappoint.
I fell in love with the big heart at Town Hall and literally didn’t want to leave. They were playing some right tunes and Gareth and I were having a little jam (how old are we? lol)
We ended up at the beautiful and iconic Queen’s hotel as they always have epic light shows every year here and this one was just as amazing as the previous years. We only had time to visit these 3 places, however the Light Night Leeds is located all around the city. I 100% recommend that you add this to your calendar for next year.
Gareth and I were kindly invited down to the Ivy for a complimentary meal to celebrate Light Night Leeds. We were under no obligation to post and as always our opinions are all our own.
Wow sounds like a fab evening! The cocktails look so cool with the lights, and that food looks delicious 😍
