Some people may think I’m crazy to constantly buy luxury beauty products but honestly I feel that they do make a huge difference, especially my recent purchases from Dior. First things first (I’m a realist- lol jokes) this is not a sponsored post and I wasn’t gifted any Dior beauty products (I wish), so this is my personal and honest review on this brand.
I have been thinking for some time now that I might do my own makeup at my wedding. This is a scary thought but at the end of the day no one knows your face better than you and sometimes I find makeup artists apply your makeup as though you’re off to the club and not walking down the aisle on your wedding day. Maybe I’m just a fussy person but this is one thing that I do stress about the most, so I thought why not start watching some beauty vlogs, listen to a little beauty advice and go from there. I have learned so much already on which brands are going to last all day, what you shouldn’t be wearing and general top tips from the professionals.
First of all after watching one of InTheFrow’s vlogs I learned that your foundation shouldn’t contain SPF due to the flashback with photography. I currently use the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and I love it but it does contain SPF. I posted on my Instagram Stories for advice and you guys were super helpful and gave me so much good advice. The top two brands you recommended me were Giorgio Armani and Dior. Now, I still haven’t tried the Armani one yet but I did head straight to Boots in Leeds and purchased the Dior foundation to try it out. The lady at the counter was incredible and she matched me up to with the perfect shade for my skin tone.
My first thoughts on the Forever Undercover Dior foundation was how smooth it felt on my face and the coverage was amazing. I also bought the matching concealer which also gets a big thumbs up from me. Now don’t worry if you don’t like the feel of foundation, as I know sometimes it can leave your skin feeling greasy and that’s not what you really want on your wedding day, but this foundation leaves your skin feeling super smooth. My advice would be to head on over to your nearest Dior beauty counter, ask to be matched up and then take home a sample before you buy. I’m not going to lie and say it’s super cheap as it’s not. I paid £55.00 for both the foundation and concealer, however they do last a really long time as you only need to use a little. If you have a Boots card make sure you get your points as these all add up, trust me.
My genuine review of Dior is that so far I am loving this brand. Would I purchase from Dior again? Honestly, yes I would. I hope I have shared enough information on the products for you to get an idea of what they are like. I will keep you all up to date regarding the wedding make up and if I decide to head down the road of applying my own makeup, which so far I honestly think I will be doing.
Please feel free to send me your comments if you have purchased from Dior before and what your top foundation go-to is. Also if you have applied your own wedding make up, then let me know (you might just put me at ease).
As always I hope you have enjoyed reading this post. If you enjoy my content, please subscribe, share this post and/or follow me on Instagram if you’re not already doing so @doorwaysanddresses.

Thank you so much Rachael. So happy you enjoyed this ❤️
Thank you for the tip about the SPF! I didn’t know that. I am also wanting to do my own makeup at my wedding. I think I do a pretty good job, and then there’s no surprises! xx

You’re welcome about the tip, I literally only found it out last year. Ooo when are you getting married? Yes that’s how I feel, I’m still so unsure but I’m just too fussy 😆
