Hi everyone, sorry that I haven’t posted over this past week. I needed a break and decided to spend time with family (which is always super important) and get in a few good wedding-talk sessions. I thought I would share with you all what I have been thinking, so lets get cozy and light my Miss to Mrs candle, which was a gift by Ribbon & Bow, to get us all in the mood for some wedding chat.
It’s time for me to go hunting for my wedding dress. I wish I could say it’s every girls dream to have the perfect wedding day and dress, but I can honestly say that’s not me. As cheesy as it sounds, I just want to get married and my main goal for my day is for everyone to have an amazing time and for us to spend time with our close friends and family. If everyone leaves our wedding saying they loved the food, the music and the location – this will honestly make my day.
Of course I can’t write this post and say I’m not bothered about my wedding dress because I am but not to the point where I’m going to spend 5k on a dress that I’m going to wear for one day. I had planned to visit some wedding stores in London and as much as they all look beautiful, I thought it was quite silly to travel down south when we have incredible stores up North. I have made some bridal appointments for the new year which I’m very excited about. I’m going to visit a few different bridal stores with a variety of dresses because even though I know what I would love to wear in my mind, they just might not suit me when I try them on. I’m not going to go into too much detail on the dress I would like to wear, for the simple reason that Gareth reads my blog posts and I want to keep it a surprise. I will however be doing a wedding dress blog post on styles that I love, which may or may not closely resemble the dress that I will be wearing.
At the moment I have two bridal appointments booked in Leeds and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my dress will be in one of these stores but we shall have to wait and see. Some may say that I’m leaving it quite late to try on dresses but I am getting married at the end of June 2019 so I think I still have some good time. I’m hitting the gym hard and eating super healthy to try and shift some unwanted extra pounds from 2018, just so I feel confident again when I’m trying on dresses. This is one of many fitness goals that I have in mind and I’m confident I will reach it.

Have fun! I’m not familiar with bridal stores in London, but I can’t wait to see photos. Is anyone joining your appointments? I know you said your dress isn’t something you’ve been pining over, but I still hope you find one you love! When I was dess shopping I had my heart set on a mermaid or striaght style and my mom kept putting me in ball gowns. I had to calm her down with those crazy ideas. Can’t wait to see what you choose!

Hi Rachel. Thanks for your comment. My Mum and Sister will be joining me at my appointment so I’m super excited. I have lots of different styles in my mind but I think I will be going down the boho style kind of dresses. I would love to try on a ball gown style dress just to say I have but with it being a destination wedding I need something quite light as it’s going to be super hot. I get married in June 2019 so everything will be revealed then. Are you married of getting married? 🙂
I’m obsessed with wedding dresses! You have no idea how many times I’ve browsed through wedding dress designer websites, of course I could never afford one, but they’re gorgeous! I’m sure you’re going to find a perfect dress and you have plenty of time 💜 good luck at your bridal appointments!!
