Eyes On The Prize With Boots UK

*AD – This post is in conjunction with Boots UK but as always, my opinions are 100% my own

I don’t know about you, but during lockdown I practically went makeup-free to the point that I actually forgot how to apply makeup properly. With us starting to move back to a “normal” way of life, with events taking place such as weddings, celebrations and holidays, it’s time to make those eyes sparkle again. I have put together a step by step guide on how I created this eye makeup look with Boots UK.

I went for an autumnal yet festive look with warm tones to really make my eyes pop. I have brown/hazel eyes and I feel that green, orange, brown and warmer tones are quite flattering. So let’s get to it!

Step 1 – Eyebrows

My eyebrows are always the first step of my eye makeup routine and for this specific look, I am trying the Kylie Jenner KYBROW brow pencils in shade medium brown. I have very fair eyebrows so I always go that shade darker to make my brows stand out a little more. I love how delicate this pencil is, perfect if you’re travelling and it has an eyebrow brush on one side as well, which I think is a must.

Step 2 – Eyeshadow

The eyeshadow that I am using today is the NARS Copper palette. I really love using a palette as I always tend to use at least three of the shades. I applied the shade Bal Harbour all over the eyelid with the shade Broome just on the outskirts of the eye, followed by a mix of Cantina and Pampelonne on the middle of the lid to really make the eyes pop. You can’t go wrong with any of these shades, I really do love experimenting with different looks.

Step 3 – Eyeliner

I know that many people say not to place eyeliner on your lower lids as it can make the eyes look smaller but I personally love it and feel that it makes my eye colour really stand out. I also feel very 90’s with this look. I just used a standard eyeliner pencil and for over the lids, I used the Lancome Artliner in Black Satin liquid eyeliner.

Step 4 – Mascara

Time to apply Mascara. This is my first time using the NARS Climax Extreme mascara and I was really impressed. It’s very natural looking and added volume to my lashes. I would highly recommend this product. This was all the prep I needed before applying false lashes.

Step 5 – Eyelashes

Now, I will be the first to admit that I am not the best at applying false eyelashes but I thought I would give it a go. I must say that Eylure were the easiest eyelashes that I have ever applied and they literally went on within the first attempt. I opted for volume and these were the 101 eyelashes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that these lashes are also reusable and can be worn up to 5 times.

Now, it’s time to head out and to show off this look. Do you have any celebrations or events coming up soon that you’d like to try out a new look for? Why don’t you give this one a try and remember to keep your eyes on the prize.
