I have been so slack when it comes to writing about fashion and it’s something that I really want to change and start doing more of. Initially, Doorways & Dresses was primarily a travel and fashion blog, until it evolved into pretty much every other topic.
Travel is my number one passion but I’m also very passionate about fashion, especially at this time of year. I think that Autumn is my favourite month, layering, oversized knits and beanies are my go to items for November. Lately I have been sticking to the same colours, nudes and blacks – until I stepped inside H&M. I came across this mustard sweater and I knew that I had to buy it, every girl needs to add some colour to their life right? I think it’s safe to say that if you follow me on Instagram you can see that I’m a little obsessed with this sweater at the moment. Another obsession of mine is this beautiful snowflake necklace which was gifted to me by Statement Made Jewellery and it’s the perfect time of the year to wear it. Wooo hooo bring on a white snowy Christmas!
As much as I would have loved to buy everything that I see in all my favourite stores, my bank balance just doesn’t allow me to. Plus I have taken a leaf out of my some of my favourite bloggers’ books and now I just tend to buy things that I know I can wear over and over, as otherwise it’s just a waste. Oversized jumpers over leggings and dresses are my favourite look at the moment. I’ll be sharing a few more of my fashion favourites with you all in the upcoming months, so stay tuned.
One of the reasons that I didn’t pursue fashion blogging as much as I would have liked is that there is such a lot of pressure on fashion bloggers to update their Instagram feed every day with different outfits and unless you get them gifted and you’re working with different brands all the time, it’s just not realistic. I don’t see anything wrong with taking different styles of images and wearing some of the same clothes you have posted in the past. You’ve just got to go with what works for you.
You’ll definitely be seeing more fashion posts from me as I’m so excited to share with you all some of my favourite high street stores and designers in the months to follow.
There is definitely a lot of pressure, especially to keep up with trends etc but I really love both fashion and blogging xx

Yes I also love the fashion and blogging world and I’m excited to pursue the fashion side more. Thanks for reading xxx
I love that jumper! I’m loving H&M at the moment, they’ve got some great things in, I’m the same, if I could afford to spend a load of money on clothes I so would. I don’t think I could be a fashion blogger aha just because I seem to have like 7 outfits that I wear every week! Love your blog though <3

Me too, I love a bit of H&M. I love my clothes but with saving for a wedding it’s so hard. I try and buy new pieces for my blog but only items that I know I will wear over and over. Thanks for your lovely comments and so happy you enjoyed the post ❤️
I love your pictures and I love the colour combo!

Thanks so much Justine, so happy you enjoyed the post ❤️
I often wonder how fashion bloggers find the time and energy to create content every day. I couldn’t do it. My fave season is Autumn too. I love the wine and mustard colours and cute jewellery like your snowflake necklace xx
