It’s coffee and chat time! Explore, Discover, Learn! I am a born traveller, with growing up in the Canary Islands to travelling Australia solo for a year to then working on-board cruise liners and living in South Africa. I have been very fortunate to have been able to see much of this beautiful world, but as every traveller knows, it’s never enough. Once the travel bug bites you, you will be on the hunt for your next destination for life.
When I met Gareth travelling, we decided to settle down in the UK. Don’t get me wrong, I love our apartment and I love living in Leeds, for me this city has it all – but sometimes I really feel like I could buy a van, deck it out with some boho vibes and just drive – never look back! Have you ever felt this way?
This world has so much to offer and I will never stop exploring it and seeking out new and exciting adventures. I vowed to Gareth that each year, we have to go somewhere new, somewhere we haven’t been before and cross it off our (long) list. If you didn’t know already, I have recently got married in Greece. Everyone has been asking if we’re having a honeymoon and the answer to that is 100% yes but I wish I could tell you where we’re going, but I don’t even know. Gareth is surprising me and it’s a place that neither one of us have been to before, I shall keep you posted on this!
I mention living in a van a lot and everyone asks me – do you mean a motor-home? Nope! I don’t. I just love the simplicity of a normal van that I can call home for a while. You might think I’m crazy and that’s ok, a lot of people do think this haha! But I’ve lived the hippie life before, granted it was just for 2 weeks in Australia but I had the best time. Showering on the beach, cooking from the van and not having a care in the world. Your only plan in life was getting from A to B. Obviously, you need to make money and if I won the lottery tomorrow this would definitely be my plan.
Although I’m very happy with city life right now and travel as and when I can, I’ll never say never to that hippie life dream. It may even only happen when I’m 60 plus, but I’ll be fine with that. If you’ve not travelled much yet but you’re desperate to, what are you waiting for? You only get one life, make sure you live it! Go and travel this world.
If you’re on Twitter – come on over and say hey.
Ooh I like that idea! I do get the urge to pick up and go. Gotta plan before I do any of that. Congrats on your wedding!

Thanks so much! Yeah I love the idea as well, if I win the lottery I’m off lol! Thanks for reading xxx
My ex-boyfriend and I once considered doing something like this. It always seemed like an awesome and unique way to live, travel and just see different things. Our relationship ended, mutual friendly parting, but I can’t help but wonder what it would have been like. I am not in the point in my life where something like that would be logical or reasonable, but I am envious of people who can do it! If people ever get the chance for something like this, without hesitation I think they should do it.

Hi Casey, thanks so much for reading. I feel if I won the lottery tomorrow – I would be off. I know it’s not about money but just knowing you would be financially ok would be a great thing. Never say never but I will definitely get there one day xxx
I would love to do that too! You’ve travelled to some amazing places! I’d love to go to both Australia and South Africa, you’ll have to tell me all about it sometime! đ
