3 Autumnal Restaurants For Your Visit To Leeds

Being based in Leeds, I’m always getting asked where the best bars, restaurants, things to do etc are so I thought I would make this a regular occurrence over on the blog. As and when I come across anything new and exciting, I shall document it here and over on Instagram Stories within the Leeds highlight. I recently wrote a post on my top 3 restaurants, so this is part 2. If you want to check out part 1 click here.

Rosa’s Thai Cafe

As mentioned in my last restaurant review blog, it was time to head back to Rosa’s Thai Cafe to try out their delicious menu. Gareth and I were kindly invited down to select a few items on the new menu and since sampling some of the food options at the launch party, I for one was way too excited. As usual! I mean who doesn’t get excited for food right? I think it’s safe to say that Thai food is probably one of my favourite cuisines. One of my main loves about a restaurant is an open kitchen, I don’t know what it is but I just love it and we were lucky enough to be seated next to the kitchen at Rosa’s. I mean we did ask, as it was the quietest part of the restaurant so we could take some imagery but I just loved watching all the food getting made. I’m sure the chef’s weren’t enjoying it as we were though haha! Thanks so much to the amazing team for looking after us, it really was delicious and we will definitely be heading back there soon for another date night.

The Malmaison Brasserie

When Malmaison sent over an email to see if I would like to go down and try out their new menu, I literally jumped at the chance. After hearing so many great things, I booked Gareth and I in straight away. As soon as we arrived, the service was just out of this world. We were really unsure on which options to go for and the lovely team offered their recommendations and my word they were the best recommendations ever! From the wine to the amazing garlic flat bread with black aioli (yes I wasn’t sure about this either, but honestly was the most delicious thing ever) to my poached salmon and the delicious strawberry Sunday meringue dessert. If you’re coming to Leeds, I can highly recommend The Malmaison brasserie. Also, a huge thank you to Alice for recommending the Summer G & T cocktail, something I never would have tried but I loved it.

The Lost and Found on Albion Street

Last year, I called into The Lost and Found for a cheeky cocktail and not only did I love the cocktail but I was sat in one of the most impressive buildings in Leeds. I had an email from the lovey team asking if Gareth and I would like to come down to try out their new menu. Although my waistline was saying no, my head was saying don’t be stupid and of course I booked in. When we arrived, I assumed the restaurant was downstairs but after being greeted by the lovely Tom, we soon realised there was more to this stunning building than we first thought. Tom escorted us upstairs to the restaurant and I was instantly blown away. The decor reminded me of the Ivy actually, just stunning. Tom recommended one of their signature cocktails to us, which was just delicious. There were so many options on the menu that we were struggling to decide on what to order. It’s safe to say that our favourite dish was the sticky toffee pudding & raspberry sorbet. After we had eaten, Tom kindly took us for a tour around the building. I don’t say this often but I was left speechless. My favourite room was the ladies toilets and Tom told us that the toilet seats were over 200 years old, I mean wow!
