Taking A Breather From Social Media

Wooo hooo I’m back! Wow I didn’t realise how long I had actually been away from the blogging world and how much I have missed it. It feels so good to be back on social media and I am sure you are wondering why it has taken me so long to write anything new.

I have had a lot going on in my personal life over the past couple of months that left me feeling a little demotivated and I felt that I needed to take a short break from the social media world, which I feel has done me the world of good. I was trying to achieve the perfect feed, look and present myself in a certain way, in doing this I started to lose sight of the reason why I started blogging in the first place. There is no such thing as perfect and although we might strive for it, sometimes you need to ask yourself well, what’s wrong with being the person I am? I soon realised in order for me to write successfully and enjoy blogging again, I need to be true to myself.

So here I am, this is me. I have a fresh new website, I am enjoying posting on my social media channels again and I am starting to write more personal posts (just like this one). It feels amazing to share my thoughts and feelings with you, as I am a person who finds it quite difficult to open up sometimes. It honestly feels so good to be back and sharing fresh new content and I am really excited to see what you all think. I feel that it is so important to support one another in this industry, which I feel doesn’t happen enough.

It’s time to continue my journey and I really hope you guys join me on it. I have been working on my website for the past few weeks now, really taking my time and making sure that I am happy with how it is presented. I mentioned that over the past few months I had a lot going on and a part of that was changing our wedding venue. Not only are we changing the venue, we are changing the country as well. As you all know we were booked to get married in South Africa, however planning the whole trip was getting very stressful and we decided that’s not how it should be, so we made the big decision of possibly having our wedding in Europe! More info on how we’re going about this is to come. I’ll put that on ice for now as I am going to discuss all my tips on finding the perfect wedding venue in another blog post very soon and then I can reveal to you all on where we have decided to get married #ifyouareinterested
